I'm going to Barcelona in December, and I'm wondering about the fascist and antifascist presence in the city. I've heard that there used to be lots of boneheads around in the city, are they still around? Would wearing SHARP patches etc get me in trouble?
Also, is there any real, non-bonehead skins around in the city? And any anarchist collectives that would be worth to visit?

I saw a couple Franquist flags hanging from apartment patios when I was there over the summer. I think there's a strong leftist presence there though, every day a new demonstration in Barcelona was on the news.

Never had a problem with the Hoxha tattoo on the back of my head.
All joking aside, I have been there numerous times, probably one of my favorite cities after Amsterdam and London, and have never seen anyone I could consider fash.
Neither have I seen much leftist imagery either except for some stickers of communist and anarchist symbols. In Cordoba on the other hand I was on a square where numerous houses had banners with leftist slogans and red flags and flags of the international brigade. I also remember like an office of CNT, although it could've been some other anarchist organisation, in either Sevilla or Cordoba. I also met some maoists in Granada.
You win't have much trouble in Barcelona, and if you do you should travel to the south of Spain.
