Would any of you say that Bakunin's philosophy is deterministic? Bakunin is a materialist, and a dialectical materialist, so there's the historical determinism of the 'inevitable' social revolution. But I was wondering more in terms of the modern freewill/determinism debate. Would anyone say that Bakunin is a Soft/Hard determinist?

It's funny to think that Bakunin, the 'first anarchist' couldn't be a Libertarian (in this context).

What? Where did you read that shit? Bakunin's materialism consisted solely of disguising metaphysics as said materialism, his philosophy was constantly inconsistent and he was basically an empiricist in the 18th century Enlightenment fashion. As for a dialectical materialism, he most definitely didn't subscribe to it and was rather open in his ridicule of Marx because of Marx's dialectical materialism.
