I wouldn't give a dime, to the salvation army or any other charity.

But I do give some money, to homeless people in person. I do buy 1 box ofgirl scout cookies from girls in front of wal-mart. i don't like those cookies.

but outside of that I don't give money to any other charity no matter how legitimate.

It is so wrong of poor people to be generous, even if it is with other poor people. Even if I had a million dollars I would keep it to myself.

i tend to give one-off to charities by text if i'm approached. i currently give to a local hospice cos it's been fucked by government cuts and I think it's worthy.

and also I work in fundraising so it's only comradely to give a bit too :)

I always get the "they're buying crack / alcohol / whatever / pick themselves up by their bootstraps"

I give away I.O.U.'s but don't sign them. It's the thought that counts. I have given away the time of day, right of way and my poker face.I also engage in double-dealing, chicanery, a lot of financial ballyhoo and have, on occasion organized ponzi schemes. I don't like to do it, I feel I owe it to the people.
