Second favorite hip hop album of the year after the new Dark Time Sunshine and a close second with the new Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

I like it better than his last one which was superb.

The best album I've heard for a long time. Probably listened to it about 10 times in 5 days or something.

I have heard rumours that Kendrick Lamare is wack as hell. Will do research on this topic soon...

It's nice. I liked Schoolboy Q's new record better.

Really? I thought his last one had some of the worst production I've ever heard. No Makeup made me physically ill.

I have no real contribution to this thread aside from the fact that this album is absolutely incredible and one of the best of 2012. It fucking transcends hiphop, it's just wonderful.

really cool album, I like the subtle way in which it's a concept album

That had a few of my favourite tracks of the year on it but as an album I didn't really rate it. Too much samey sounding filler and without as distinctive and interesting personality as K-Dot or, while we're comparing Black Hippy members, Ab-Soul. Control System I like nearly as much as GKMC in retropsect.

it's not particularly phenomenal. it's basically just a bit better than most other things out at the moment. but really, like half the tracks on this album are skipovers unless you're a masochist.

This album is ahead of its time. Perfection from start to finish. The best hip-hop debut since Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor.

It's not his debut, however; he had an album out the other year as well (2010?).

sam is right. plus what does a 'debut album' even count for when most artists have 5+ mixtapes out before their first commercial release anyway.
