Hey all, I'm a member of Dev-Genç in Turkey, its basically a communist organization, devoted to revolution which will take place eventually. We're very close to accomplishing a full scale communist revolution in Turkey, according to MIT(Turkish Intelligence), %40 of the population is in favor of communism.

But we know that we cant accomplish the revolution by running for elections, the deep state wont let us, so we're planning to invade the national assembly of Turkey soon :D

Turgut Ozal was the first left wing prime minister of Turkey, he nationalised all the factories, and kicked out all the foreign companies out of Turkey, and closed down their factories. He is a real hero here among the communists, and we respect him a lot.

Thats why I took this nick, his name means a lot to me, I named my son Turgut as well.

I'm very happy to be in such a great forum :)

Welcome! I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about Turkey. For instance, just what is Turkey actually doing re-Syria? Turkey's genocidal approach to the Kurds is another important topic.

I think this is what is called sarcasm. Özal was the prime minister put in place by the military after the 1980 coup. His party was the centre-right ANAP(Motherland Party), and he is more the Turkish equivalent of Thatcher, Reagan, or Kohl.
