I'm planning on going to this. Egan has been active in the abortion rights movement for a gazillion years and has done some really great work on this front. The right wing of the Conservatives have been trying to revive the abortion debate in Canada and our side needs to get its act together!

How did we win abortion rights?

Learn more Tuesday, 7pm, OISE 252 Bloor W

Speaker: Carolyn Egan, long-time pro-choice activist and leading member of the International Socialists

The fight for abortion rights is one of the most important victories of the women’s movement in Canada and Quebec. Even though reproductive rights are still under attack, they represent the success of a decades-long struggle for a woman’s right to control her own body.

Join a discussion about how abortion rights were won and how we can win equality and liberation today!
