I've always wanted to get a "Hammer and sickle" flag to help identify my beliefs but was always afraid to do that and besides, they want so much money for them. So I finally decided to join up here as an Obama supporting Liberal socialist what have you, because I've gotten so sick of the red neck right wing idiots in my state. Thank you so much for having me. :D

Welcome I guess... WTF? So you support Obama? I'm sorry I don't understand your politics just yet. Maybe elaborate on them for us?

"Liberal socialist" is not a real thing. Liberals are not socialists and socialists are not liberals, these ideologies reflect opposite interests. Liberalism entails the advocacy of capitalism, why socialism is the active movement for its destruction. The distinguishing feature of liberals which makes them appear more progressive is that they incoporate popular demands into their ideology, though never without adjusting the demands to fit in with their commitment to the established order of things. Obama is no better than Romney.
Anyway, welcome!

I agree that you can't trust politicians but someone has to run this country. If it's not Obama, then it's Romney and just like the Hall and Oats song says........ "I can't cope with that".......

Voting for the "lesser evil" is not revolutionary or progressive, but rather defeatist. The working class doesn't have a dog in this fight, so they shouldn't participate. Mass boycott of the vote is preferable to voting for the class enemy.
Boycott the vote. None of the candidates represent your class interests. Unless you are some rich guy who own a company, then I guess you can vote for whoever.

Welcome, but Obama??? Given the choice between an unquestioning agent of Wall Street (Obama) and Mr. Wall Street, himself, I say it's well past time to organize a party that represents humanity and its labors.
My sympathies to you re-northern Idaho politics. I live in what I term "Tea Party Town" on the northwestern coast of California, and am appalled on a daily basis at the know-nothing, racist, proto-fascist politics surrounding me. Tea Party Town is about to elect a not-so-closeted white racist as county supervisor who writes Obama is a "closeted black racist."
Well, Obama doesn't have a racist bone in his body, but he's a major enemy of humanity, just the same. My red-green best.
