I'm very tall(6'5) but I have pretty good agility and I can jump really high, so I make an alright basketball player. What about you? Do you or have you ever played any sports?

I've been boxing for 7+ years now in the amateur ranks. I have plenty of matches too. Currently I am out of fighting shape and taking it easy though. I got school to worry about, and some health problems I gotta get out of the way before I am back in the ring.

I've been doing taekwondo for more than three years. I'm really terrible at it, but I try insanely hard, and next month, I will be eligible to test for first dan black belt, which I feel like I'm not good enough to have even though I will most likely pass the test.
Besides that, I played soccer when I was six but became scared of the ball after it hit me in the stomach.

There are a lot of other flags all over the word - New Zealand, USA, Israel, Portugal and so on. A lof of flags were given by the really-really cool bodybuilders participated in the international competitions.
But of course, the main focus in related to the soviet symbolics

Which figures? Lenin and Makarenko?

I didn't for a while but I've got back into Judo recently :) It's fun but really tiring. I need to get fitter, although my partner says my muscles are looking bigger already haha.

Are you graded at all?
It's so tiring. I'm so frustrated too, I sprained my ankle (football) 3 weeks ago, have had to sit there watching practice sessions for Judo :(

I did Judo for a substantial number of my teenage years so I have a green belt BUT it's a junior grade so I need to kind of upgrade it to an adult green belt so I can start fighting competitively. They've changed the grading system now though. I had to win my grades by fighting, but now you just have to learn loads of theory.

yeah if I have it correctly you can do all the kyu grades (so up to and including Brown Belt) as gradings at your club OR in competition, and then the Dan grades you need to compete at the appropriate level.
Still, I don't see a problem as long as you are at a good club. My university club is excellent, lots of randori and focus on applying new techniques, fitness - no McDojo crap!
I should be able to train from this Sunday, i'm pretty excited about taht :)

My mates from school and I get together every now and then for Scrummlidge. When I was younger I loved Piccerily. They are both forms of Common Fields(CF's) but without the yard irons. Batting, but without the bowling of course.

My university club is pretty good. I think there's a nice mix of practising techniques and randori. I need to get more confident with randori because at the moment I basically just expect to get thrown the second I step out, but that doesn't really happen. It is kind of hard to find people my size though. I'm like the heaviest I've ever been and most people still have at least 20 kilos on me.

I run and box quite regularly. Even in winter I try to get outside for at least three runs a week, no crazy distances though, usually between 5 and 10k on each run.
I'm hoping to run a half marathon this year in under 2 hours, would be great for me.
On the days I am not running, I usually attack the punch bag for half an hour. I used to box in my early twenties but now limit it to hitting the bag. It's really good for building tone across the body and of course venting frustration!

I used to do Track&Field and Cross Country, before I left school.
I still run for recreation, but I'm nowhere near as good as I used to be (not saying much). I never learned how to independently train.

When on demonstrations I play Trot Spotting and Trot Bingo.
When in popular tourist destinations I play Yank Spotting where if you see an American you say "Horse" before someone else does in order to score a point. If it is subsequently demonstrated that it wasn't an American after all, say a Canadian or some such, then you lose a point.
These are the sports I play and I take them very seriously. :|

A question to Ghazkull: Who is the comrade in uniform in the photo on the wall, to the right of Lenin (never a good position to be in), in the top photo? I used to be familiar with the stamps of the USSR, but I do not recognize that individual.
In response to the thread, I used to play baseball in school, but I was not any good at it. Now I go the gym, to work out on the machines and lift weights.

I used to play alot of road hockey as well as ice hockey when i was younger. Now that I'm in my 30's that was gone by the wayside. Me and my friends used to also box a good bit which i have to say i loved and i was pretty good at as well. I am not a big guy at all but i was pretty quick and i knew how to throw a punch as well as how to get out of the way of one. I could usually put someone down after getting in maybe 4 really good punches. However since i was a smoker i get winded very easy so the longer the fight dragged on the better chance of me losing. I hate cigarettes they are the worst drug for your overall health there is!
Other then that i played a fair bit of soccer as well which i was decent at. To say that i sucked bad at basketball and baseball would be a major understatement
