there's a sorta obituary for hobsbawm in my student paper

the writer tries to argue that hobsbawm's marxism is a model for modern marxists... because he worked with the labour party (always on the right, i should add), and suggests marxism isn't relevant anymore because there was no "visible marxism" on the student protests -- tho it also suggests marxism may be relevant because the university has a number of "marxist" groups active.

pure madness, right?

i want to write a response but i'm so used to writing either long essays or troll posts that i don't really know how to approach doing so. anyone wanna offer me a bit of advice?
