Hello
My name is Mitja and i'm an marxist. I'm a freshman in a classical high school, and i'm the only marxsist around there. I'm growing up in a very left-wing family,my dad and mom are socialists and my grandma and aunt are both communist. I'm interested in political philosophies, technologies and sports.
I'm open minded most of my time, and i try to accept as much different things as possible. Hope to meet new people here,so that i can talk to you,in my high school i'm more of an loner because i dont know anyone, and i dont talk to people,so yea i dont like that place very much. Also excuse my english it's not my mother tongue.

Welcome! Your English is fine--better than most Americans. As for being the only Marxist in a particular EU high school, at least there are some lefties outside your school you can contact, unlike the situation for most of the very few US high school Marxists.
In any case, you will always have yourself, which appears to be a good radical self, indeed. My red-green best.

Hello there. I'm in a similar situation to you. If I had to offer you one piece of advice, it would be to keep your "open mindedness" until you become an adult and have a job. The more you learn about different tendencies, the more choice you have. Don't be fooled by people who force one view or another upon you, there is always an alternative when learning things. Good luck!

Welcome, High School student from Brazil here.
I'm not so alone in my beliefs around here, but I do know where you are coming from.
I hope you use your time here to learn as much as I have. Don't feel shy to PM users about their opinions, check the groups for specific discussions and the stickies are awesome.
And your English isn't a problem at all, it's very comprehensive. :thumbup1:

Welcome, and some advice, if I may, without sounding paternalistic. Do not take Marxism as the romanticism of Youth naivity. I know it may be something you cannot avoid, and if you most romanticize, there is always Communism as an ideology. Secondly, do not allow your convictions to get in your way, socially. We aren't like loser Libertarian paulite conspiracy theorists who isolate themselves from everyone and then end up shooting up the school. Yes, they'll teach you bullshit, yes, people around you are idiots. Don't blame them though. And don't expect or complain anything out of the school. It's free education, something which isn't a product of "Ooooh orwellianz state", but something that was won with the blood of the proletariat. Keep your theoretical and ideological views private. Most kids don't care about any of that, and no one is in any position to blame them. You don't have to hide your views or pretend to agree with things you are against (There is nothing wrong with calling out friends on Sexism, homophobia, in a manner that is Youthful), but it's important not to be annoying and establish the entirety of your identity upon it. Friendly comments are of no problem in class, but don't bother the shit out of your teachers. Most of them don't care. If they do, leave them be. You won't convince them and they will forever retain hegemony over the lass in regards, as they are the teacher.
I'm not accusing you or anyone else of anything, but I just thought that some advice would be somewhat useful. I'm unfortunately constrained, in regards to my experience, to American public schools, so this shit may not apply to you. Anyway, welcome to the forum, and remember, developing organic proletarian mode(s) of thought (Communism) while building upon your Marxist theoretical foundations is no easy thing and requires mental struggle.

I am the only Marxist in my high school as well; however, I live in the USA. Not only am I the only Marxist, but the majority of the students and teachers hate Marxism. I just today had an argument with one of one of my teachers about the cause of WWI. I stated that the cause was do to Imperialism and Profits, and backed this up with a lot of evidence I had found. Unfortunately, in "the land of the free", those who resort to evidence are ignored and criticized.

Be young, be naive. Hate those with less insight and intellect as you. Do stupid things and drink too much. Read the Romantics and break church windows! Be impatient and love without speaking.
Or listen to Rafiq and drown yourself in the bitterness of adulthood.

Welcome to the board and some advice: get used to being the only leftist around because whether it is school or work you are bound to be the only one, so best make peace with it.

Thanks to everyone,i fell really just like i found my home. :)
I'm more of those teens, who don't like to much socialising,im really shy at meeting new folks in person.I dont like those party's when the music is very loud, everyone are drunk... you know what im talking about. But i really adore jazz festivals, and jam bands like Phish. If there is such an festival near me,im there. I dont drink, alcohol it makes me really sick, its like i'm allergic to that. But i do smoke some shaman herbs, but this is really rear,i have some friends who are really "spiritual" and they use salvia for spiritual use and sometimes i join in,...
Classica High school is: i dont know how i can tell you that, its an normal high school, when you finish this you have no profession, you must attend faculty then.

Welcome to RevLeft! If you don't mind me asking, what's a classical high school?
They're a thing in Europe, basically normal high schools but they have certain focus on classics, usually meaning pretty much just teaching Latin and possibly ancient Greek as well. I went to one myself.
Also yeah, welcome, nice to see young people interested in this shit but as many people have already mentioned here, it's not really a good idea to become too political when you're still young. I hate to say it, but be open to things, not just commie stuff but political beliefs most people on here would disagree with. I'm not saying go hang out with your local white pride group but don't dismiss all liberal ideas and all that shit straight out and just go deeper and deeper in your ideological foxhole. Don't mean to imply it's the case for you but "commie phase" is a thing and the thing you can do to prevent that is to actually educate yourself on things properly, read lots of stuff and not get too into the shit to the point where people start to consider it annoying. Most people don't really care about your views so be casual about them, and people will probably not make a huge deal of you being a commie. Some people might be huge assholes about it, but you better just ignore that if at all possible.
just my rambling thoughts re: high school communism, nice to have you here anyways dude

Welcome Comrade!
Yeah! And when you finally grow up, get rid of all that bullshit radicalism (including Marxism cuz marxism is a radical ideoooggyz) and start making yourself a living.
Conflicting your politics with the inevitable naivity of the Youths will not be an exception in regards to the cycle, what I mean is that, just as the Youth are naive and grow up, "growing up" will mean doing away with your politics. That's exactly what happened to the veterans of 68' and the young Communists in the United States who are usually bald depressed folks who own bakeries or something.

Lessons to learn from jbeard: walk around with a hammer and sickle taped to your dick and swing it around to scare everyone away. It's okay, they're fucking MORONS and SHEEPZ who aren't have as much smarts as you. If they don't want to hear you rant about shit, they're stuipd and aren't worthy of your friendship. Don't conform maaann. Be an antisocial little piss.

Personally, I'm against the ways we are suggesting our newest comrade should spend his youth.
As an introvert (or at least I believe I am), I hate it when people tell me that partying, drinking and going wild are the normal things for teenagers to do.
Some people like to do that (and they get all of the attention), however, some of us (while I'm not sure of the statistics), actually do like to sit down, think, be alone, and in some respects, act like an adult.
Of course, there are extroverts, people who thrive on social interaction, and stereotypically love to party, and rage etc.
And even then, we can't say someone is introverted, or someone is extroverted. Its, like many things, a scale. Some people are right in the middle, ambiverts.
So, Long Way Home, I say, enjoy yourself. Don't feel compelled to behave in a certain way. Be you, and enjoy it.

You have been assigned the tendency "maoist third-worldist"... tough break.
Just kidding, as many of the people here have said. Don't latch on to a tendency, (stay a Marxist since it's a science and doesn't have to do with opinion), but be open minded.
Welcome to revleft.

Touched a nerve here, didn't I?
That's the rafiq I'm used to. F bombs, lashing out, CAPS to make an already made point, and of course a penis reference. The only thing missing was a Stalin reference. And for that you get an 80% for effort. 90% if you factor in degree of difficulty. Yet sadly only 68% for originality. You failed to conform with this unoriginal post. I always knew you were a rebel.

Welcome! Be glad that you're investigating your political life at such a young age. I went through quite a few phases where I espoused this or that belief superficially for two weeks and then moved on. When you're younger, it's easy to become dogmatic, so that's something to try to avoid, but keep an open mind, ask questions, and read, read, read!
Good luck to you!

Comrade, welcome and I'm glad you are lucky enough to have such a family. Your High School experience is felt by many of us around the world, unfortunately. However, here's hoping that you can turn a few of your classmates someday!
Best of luck, comrade!
