Still From Video Captured By The Israeli Air Force
The incident took place around 10 in the morning; the army conducted a search campaign in order to locate the crash site; not weapons of explosives were found.
The drone crashed in an area located between Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, and the nearby town of Yatta.
Israel said that it is likely that the Lebanon-based Hezbollah party launched the unmanned aircraft in an attempt to reach the Israeli Dimona nuclear reactor in the Negev, and did not rule out the possibility that this drone was launched to examine the area of the reactor in order to bomb it at a later stage.
Israeli Ynet News reported that the drone was very likely manufactured by Iran, and added that this type of drones could pose a serious risk of damage to the reactor and that despite the fact that Israel downed the drone; the whole issue is considered a moral victory for Hezbollah.
