Hello

I found this forum by accident and decided to join. I have always considered myself a politically left person who always supported the USA major left party the Democrats. I have always hated the two party system my country is devoted to, and have decided leave the Democrats. Originally, I was going to the Green Party, but now I am thinking about CPUSA.

Hello ComradeOfJoplin, welcome to RevLeft.

I hope you enjoy your stay: I recommend getting involved in a lot of debates, and I look forward to discussing things with you.

Welcome, hope your stay informs your politics some and that you generally get something out of it :)

Welcome!

I wouldn't recommend the CPUSA. From what I hear they're basically a reformist dead end, and they're youtube videos are narrated by an annoying robot voice.

ComradeofJoplin, Welcome! You are joining with an open mind--a necessity. Obviously, the left needs to get its game on, and none of the present "games" work.

Keep an open but critical mind and check things out! Marx would approve, for his favorite motto, according to his daughters, was De omnibus dubitandum--of all one must doubt. In other words, keep an open but critical mind and check things out!

My red-green best from a former Midwesterner.

What political party would you suggest if not CPUSA?

First off, am I the only one who feels as if they are being screamed at because of the OP's font?

Now let's address your choice of Party affiliation.
WHAT THE HELL DUDE!!!??? Dem to almost Green to CPUSA? You're all over the place. Slow down. Christ I think I got whiplash.
Don't make any other choices until KittyPaine and I come over and straighten you out. OK?
Now that that's done......Welcome Comrade!

Welcome to the board! Instead of throwing yourself into another party, just take some time and explore revolutionary politics.

Honestly I've never joined a party and I don't really know enough about your political views to recommend you one. There are a million different parties for every type of communist, but they're all largely irrelevant. If you look around the internet I'm sure you can find one, but there's no "main" communist party in the US. The CPUSA is the closest but it sucks.

You might consider the IWW. While not a traditional party (They describe themselves as one big union for all workers) they have certainly done a lot in this country and they have twice the integrity of the CPUSA.

EDIT: Danielle is right. Don't rush into joining an organization.
