phobia of idiots

Hello once again I have to deal with stupid people. What I want to learn is do you call this particular "phobia" as homophobia or does it have another name?

I talk with one of my friend's friend and while we talk the name of a gay guy drops in the conversation. While we talk I cassually say to this girl that the guy that she just mentioned (she kinda liked him a little bit) is gay. She looks at me and tells me: "OMG you are such a racist". I look at her and ask:"Why because I mentioned he's gay?" "Well yeah! I didn't know you were a racist blah blah blah".

Now as I said before do you call the "we are not supposed to talk about gays because whatever we say is racist" homophobia or does it have another name?

Um...mentioning the fact that someone is gay does not make you racist. Race has to do with skin color, not sexuality. You're homophobic if you're hateful toward this person for their sexuality but otherwise you're not anything.

Was this guy asian? Some racist white guys call asian men "gay" in a derogatory way. Maybe she didn't know you were telling the truth about his sexual orientation and thought you were stereotyping him based on his race.

No he wasn't asian. We also have this gay calling for different reasons not just the sexual orientation and it wasn't like that. The girl is as I said in human category which thinks that everything you say about gay people is bad unless you fight for their rights. If I say for example: "Who Tom? Yeah he's gay" I'm a racist bastard that should be erased from this world. If I say: "Yeah Tom is gay and we should fight for his rights" then I'm fine....

Tell me what kind of logic is this?
