some of youse would probably like the cut of israel shamir's jib on pussy riot.
now the morning star seemingly made a ridiculous mistake which they've apologised for, but what's up with counterpunch? apparently this isn't the first time they've published pieces by anti-semites, and (again apparently) they sided with the anc on the lonmin massacre. i had 'em down as liberals, seems like they're actually some sort of red-brown shit.

The late Alex Cockburn apparently tried to ally himself w/the far right. Paul Craig Roberts, Reagan's former finance minister and a far right winger is a frequent Counterpunch writer. Cockburn was a global warming denialist, came out against the Occupy movement and supported Ron Paul during the last several electoral cycles.

Counterpunch regularly published anti-semetic articles, so long as they were also anti-Israel. I'm not surprised the Morning Star also does this, as they are one of the worst examples of enemy-of-my-enemy-leftism, but Cockburn should have known better. Imagine what we would say if Fox News or National Review hired a holocaust denier.

Seems to me like such organizations are more interested in giving a platform to contrarians rather than actual radicals.

counterpunch perhaps, but the morning star is very keen on toeing the pro-trade union bureaucracy line -- it's how, and why, they exist.
