Hello everyone my name is Paul.
- Where are you from, whats the leftist scene there like?
I am from South Florida, not a very big leftist crowd here. when i was in high school my friends and i used to be part of a group called "food not bombs" which is basically a bunch of young anarchist feeding the homeless but other then that i haven't met that many leftist. ( i was never an anarchist; nor ever really politcally aware until rececntly)
- What branch of leftism do you subscribe to?
i am still very new to the ideas and philosophy of communism and socialism, but i like the ideas of marxism/marxism-leninism, and the historic actions of Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, and Josip Broz Tito among others.

Again and am still very new and come here mostly to learn, and here other peoples opinions. I found this site after i read the communist manifesto and was intested in similar works. I was very please to find the learning section, and even more so the "study guide project". I am also still a little new to forum boards but plan on becoming alot more familiar.

I was born and raised in South Florida where really the general public have the wrong idea of what communism is. I am 1/4 Polish, 1/4 Russian, 1/4 Japanese, and 1/4 American. My fathers parents are from Poland and Russia and my mother was born in Tokyo, her being half Japanese, half American. I have an interesting backround and am pretty lucky to be here today considering the events that took place in WW2. Almost all of my Polish ancesty had perished from the facist pigs in the Lodz Ghetto and Aushwitz. My grandfather and his brother were the only two survivors of my polish ancestry when they were liberated by the Soviets in 1945. Alot of my Russian family perished defending their homeland from facism. And my grandmother and her family in japan were on the brink of starvation, and a possiblity of being obliterated by a nuclear bomb. So because of this I am militant agaisnt prejudicism, racism, or discrimination of any kind, and believe that the ideology of communism is the answer to most of the worlds oppressions.

Welcome to RevLeft Pahayokee.

My advice is, jump in to some deabtes, ignore the sectarian squabbling, and try to find out about different schools of thought regarding communism. Oh, and enjoy your time here too.

Greetings, comrade! My name is Gabe. I am a high school student and I supervise children at a synagogue. I am from Ottawa. The leftist scene is improving here; there is a teachers' protest against the government. I am an anarcho-communist but I also subscribe to other branches of leftism such as syndicalism and green anarchism.
