I've been looking into the history of guatemala a bit lately and i've been wondering if anyone here can enlighten me about some aspects or recommend any books on the subject..
I'm especially curious about the guerilla movement and where they stood politically, since that wasn't tackled at all in the texts i've read yet. Also I've been wondering about the foreign involvement... Wikipedia says the guerillas were 'supported by Nicaragua, Cuba and Mexico' without giving much further info and the other texts didn't elaborate on that subject as well.
Also If someone knows a good book about the role of USA during the civil war I'd be very grateful.
