Say what you want about Stalin ( I have criticisms for Stalinism too ) but he saved the Slavic peoples from slavery and perhaps even extinction.
Thanks to Stalin I'm not speaking German and slaving away for some SS Gauleiter.
Westerners will never understand this but Slavs remember.

Yeah, he definitely seems that way to someone who apparently doesn't know anything about history other than Trotsky was God, but anyone else would tell you that Stalin sought collective security against fascist nations with the capitalist countries so that Russia would have more time to industrialize. They refused his request, and he had no choice but to buy some time.
