I don't know where I should put this, if the mods think it should go elsewhere then by all means move it.
Essentially I was wondering if it's possible, on Facebook, to hide your group activity from your friends, so that it doesn't show up in the news feed. There are private groups that are hidden by default, but what about the public ones?

I think that you would have to make the group private. Either that or you need to fiddle around with your settings. I haven't been on the site in months so I'll let someone else be more authoritative here. Even if you can hide the group activity they will probably be able to see that you are a member of the group if that matters to you.

Frankly, if you're discussing matters that warrant privacy from your friends you shouldn't be discussing on facebook at all.

Could you not make a second account for using these groups?

I guess, it's just annoying that the option for more privacy isn't there.
Anyway, the owner of the group I was posting in is thinking of making it private, so at least now I'll have that.

No such thing as privacy on FB, just saying.
