I am an atheist, but my family doesn't know I am. And, before I deconverted, we went to church, but we no longer. (Thank Marx! :D) They sent me a card because I am part of their "church family". And it tells me to enjoy the day God made me! Yes, God had a big part in my my father's sperm finding my mother's egg, apparently. Even though, if you believe this stuff, wouldn't whenever my mother got pregnant be the day the Sky-dictator made me? Also, Christians thought birthdays were pagan because the "pagans" celebrated birthdays. So they are hypocrites. Who'da known?

What has this got to do with serious discussion about Religion?

I actually have this type of thing happen from time to time. Except for the people at my old church know I'm an atheist...and I still get cards for my birthday and Christmas and Easter, usually with a P.S. that says something like "P.S. good boys go to church"
