A lot of times it seems like the same old tired debates just rage on and on here, but have you ever read a post here that (in your opinion) really just settled an issue for you? That maybe changed your mind on an issue?
One that I remember was a post made by Vanguard1917, on a thread about "identity politics", which I'm too lazy to go looking for. Anyway, the OP brought up the fact that the left is supposedly opposed to identity politics, yet isn't the whole thing about being "working class" and such just another form of identity politics. To which V1917 responded by saying that there is nothing to celebrate about being a worker, in fact it's a miserable existence, and the left seeks the destruction of working class identity through the destruction of class society, not it's celebration.
That was a topic I had also wondered about from time to time, and that post settled the matter permanently for me.
Does anyone else remember any really good, memorable posts on this forum?
