not me, but my mother got into that whole mess after she got into a car accident, luckily it was in small claims court, so there were no lawyers involved and then the judge decided that the other lady was retarded and wrong.

the article was very interesting and backed something that i had been thinking for some time now, the people of this nation and many other western countries have stopped taking responsibility for their own actions and are always finding other ppl to not only blame but pay for what they themselves have done.

yes redstar was threated by a member called Vox with a lawsuit it never went through as far as i know.

i am for the right for someone to sue someone. if i get hit by a car and am out of work i would definitly sue the driver to pay for my medical bills my time out of work ect.

what is bullshit though are these lawsuits where hundreds of people sue something like a tobacoo company for billions of dollars and the lawyers pocket most of the money

The number of lawsuits a society has is a direct measure of its basic health. I've been sued twice. I've sued about 30 times.

Lawsuits are very important and good things. They keep the peace and expose unfairness and fraud and neglect. There are exploitation's of the right to civil suit but I feel as though lawyers have created the abuses for excessive profits and now, a segment of the population believes its the thing to do. The same lawyers will NOT use law to protect life, generally and the wealthy use their money to protect their money.

People such as ourselves, who car enough to discuss issues should be banding together to file lawsuits and interrupt destructive cycles or tendencies by corporations and governments. Send a letter first explaining how much money they could save by doing the right thing immediately, threaten to sue them if they don't. When you sue them and the courts perform well, if you have made your point and shown your case has merit, demands for specific performance can force altered behaviors by corporations, with reparations for damages. If the courts do not perform lawfully you have a paper trail at least.

Disclosure. Doctors sometimes don't disclose. Large medical facilities get slack on management. Economics erode integrity when people, including doctors aren't paid enough. Therein lies one of the better arguments for communism.

In all, lawsuits test and verify information. The best out come is a factual and truthful determination of events and if warranted, reparations for damages. Legislators prefer managing the structure of our societies laws by using the verified information of the courts. The way we do things often makes all this cost far more than it need and be less of a benefit in the end. Behaviors are often the cause of both medical problems and lawsuits separate or combined.
