Restricted Admins

I've heard some of the mods and admins talk about their "OI days" or about them "ruling OI." So it got me to wonder if any of the mode or admins were ever restricted (I mean any of the current admins or mods and I am wondering if they were ever restricted before they were mode/admins.) Were any?

This actually interests me cuz I've never thought of this. Would be pretty neat if there are mods/admins that were at one point restricted but turned around and became a good contribution and able to take on that role.

But seriously I just though it would be interesting. I mean what am I gonna do, black mail any mods or admins that have? "You better make me an Admin or I'll tell everybody that you were restricted once!" And if I was doing this making a public thread wouldn't be the best way to go about it.

Yea especially if they were restricted as real reactionaries (I say real reactionairies to distinguish between communists restricted for one view they have, and the people who aren't even communist and are genuine reactionaries.

I can't really think of anyone but Mari3l and danyboy for those who got out of OI during my time on the broads, most go the other way in fact (aka they get banned). So unless they made Danyboy an admin while I was gone Mari3l is the only one.:lol:

I think a few of the older admins from back in the day ended up flipping sides and got banned for their reactionary views, but all the ones I can think of off hand were victims of the revleft drama machine.

Just a notice that threads like these will get closed cause they are nothing but drama threads that only serve the purpose of allowing users to suddenly be shitheads towards one another but for the record I've heard a handful of wildly different reasons why I was restricted. I heard once 'officially' that it was for 'being a primitivist'. It was pretty funny though cause if I remember correctly right during the restriction there were two threads going about the same topic and in one thread I was legit posting from a similar position I would currently and getting agreement from quite a few users and in that other thread I was posting from this pretty irritating horrible shit position. I was lucky everyone was really dense back then and operating with different forum policy cause I could have been banned for blatant trolling. Most of my posts were troll posts back then. I didn't use the forum as frequently as I do now and while in OI I started taking the forum more seriously. I just hadn't had any good experiences with internet forums up till that point that I joined here and was doing what I thought would be the most fun.
