Just looking for some essential autonomist texts. I already have a fairly good understanding of Marxist autonomism, but I would like a list of the essential writings. I also understand that a lot of works are not in English as well, so I won't be disappointed with a small list.

I meant Italian Autonomist-Marxism, but I won't mind any writings from Northern European Autonomen at all.

Autonomist-Marxism, I would suggest "Marx Beyond Marx" and "Books for Burning" both by Negri. For the Northern European stuff, I dunno, maybe PM psycho since thats his scene, but I think that stuff is more just a physical expression of the combination of anarchism and various left-marxist currents.

semiotext(e) published a book with collected works of italian autonomia, its really nice and pretty; http://www.amazon.com/Autonomia-Post-Political-Semiotext-Sylvere-Lotringer/dp/1584350539

george katsiaficas his book "the subversion of politics" is a pretty accurate history of the northen european autonomous movement, i have some minor gripes with its section on dutch history but nothing serious, its free to download on his website; http://www.eroseffect.com/books/subversion.html
just remember to use it only as a history book and completely ignore the last few chapters where he tries to extract some political theory and completely goes of the rails.

a more accurate dutch history of the autonomous/squat movement and good critique, written from an autonomous perspective is billwets "bewegingsleer" (cracking the movement): http://thing.desk.nl/bilwet/Cracking/contents.html

there is quite some stuff to be found on libcom;
http://libcom.org/tags/operaismo
http://libcom.org/library/aufheben-autonomia
http://libcom.org/tags/autonomist-marxism

its a shame you cant find a english translation nor the german original online but the FELS brochure "critique on the autonomen" sparked a worthwile debate in germany, here is a dutch translation; http://afa.home.xs4all.nl/fels/index.html

if you need more stuff PM ravachol, he is an walking enclopedia when it comes to these subjects...

Do books by Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri count as autonomist?
