anyone seen it?

for those who havent yet; yes it has justin timberlake (who is an suprisingly good actor actually) but the movie has the most obvious straight-foreward anti-capitalist theme i have seen in ages in a blockbuster. I really dont get why it got such "mweh" revieuws. its good, it perfectly ties in with the current mood of "occupy" and such. if you havent seen it, go watch it, seriously...

I liked it but Timberlake's acting isn't so great. I also didn't understand how the world worked, they made it seem like the zones were the entire society and then at the end reveal the rest of the planet. Were the time zones supposed to be just one city or something?

It's got some good ideas but I think they are poorly implemented. Andrew Niccol, the writer/director, wrote the script for The Truman Show as well which is a far superior film in my opinion and maybe I'm being overly critical but I was expecting something more. Cillian Murphy is brilliant (when is he not?) but he's alone in that regard. Timberlake and ObligatoryTits (because that was essentially all Amanda Seyfried was there for) were wooden and in many ways it was almost an hour and a half long Timberlake music video without the music. The movie seems to be critical of the excessive lifestyles of the bourgeoisie and at the same time entirely glamourising it.

Worth the watch but nothing jaw-dropping.
