How to become a modern guerilla...

I know we all want to be a guerilla fighter in the deep jungles of a south american country, with a rifle in our hands and beads of sweat running down our foreheads.....

But that isn't realistic i know the majority of us live in western stable countries where its near impossible to start an uprising.....or travel to a country with a revolution in process......


Where are actual leftist revolutionary guerillas fighting these days, who are they fighting, what are they fighting with?

There are many guerrilla groups around the wrold.

However most of them are just separatist or of a fundamentalist hue.

However there are the following Marxist (Stalinist/Maoist/Trotskyitst/neo-Marxist/anarcho-communist) guerrilla groups that are still operational today:

EZLN isnt marxist as many people think. SubComandante Marcos was asked that and he said no, well i plan on hooking up with the Zapitistas, and a few trusty FFE members. And a few trusty weapons lol. I would actually like to see a revolution in Tibet, so all the damn buddhists will be left alone.

Revolution in Tibet in order to leave Buddists alone will not lead to Communism, but rather, to the old feudal order, or theocracy. A big fat no on that one.

The chinese are the ones opressing the Tibetan Buddhists right? the chinese are also Communist, why the hell would they care about communism now? Im starting a Guerrilla movement, but its moving south to the zapitistas when i see fit

I thought of that, but the CIA/FBI would stop it imediately, i.e. a couple monthes. Try getting your state independant then start a revolution, or find the state with the lowest voting turnout and have every communist/socialist you know and move there, be sure to have them vote for socialists running for positions in that state. :)

It would be hard to start a communist revolution in the US, so many people are happy with the way it is.

I disagree, if you can get enough votes to seperate a state from the union, then you might have a chance; however, chances are that once the CIA/FBI hear of a communist revolution, then they'll probably quell it. Remember wot che said "lets be reasonible and try the impossible"

i think we at some point have to take action,but for a lot of us, who live in europe, n-america, ... it is practicly impossible to either go to l-america or get your partie to get 5% of the votes (needed to make the parliament)
