I am from India. Is it possible for Scandinavian comrades to give some advice on this, whether (and how) it's possible to migrate? What are the options - study or work? I know generally speaking, it's hard for people from developing countries to migrate, but will the study option make it easier?
I am not familiar with this, hence my query.
Thanks,
Beeth

Hey! Sorry this answer is a bit late, but study is really your best bet. Work is possible but as far as I know, the process is pain in the ass but I don't know about it all, so you'll have better luck with Google than with me. But study; my personal experience is in Finland, so all examples are coming from there. There's definitely more English education at MA level so if you already have some kind of undergraduate degree, it'd definitely help: mostly business and some engineering stuff are BA level.
But if you have somewhat solid grades, there's lots of options out there, from good engineering unis like TTY and Aalto to the best regular uni in the country Helsinki (no BAs at all in English) to more vocational options. The good news regarding Finland is that we have no tuition fees at all, even for international students, and I actually know a guy at work who's from India and studies electronical engineering in English right now.
But if you could just be more specific about what you're looking for, I can provide you with some links - from Finland, or other Scandinavian countries too. Stuff like what you'd like to study, and whether you'd go for a BA or a MA.
Cheers, and good luck in your efforts.

Moving to any country that is a member of the European Union is incredibly difficult if you're not already a citizen of an EU country, unless you already have a job lined up beforehand (which is unlikely).
Your best bet is study: look up schools in the country that you are interested in and see what their application requirements are. If you are accepted, and can demonstrate financial security (including your ability to pay tuition), you should be able to move and get a study permit.
Skilled workers can sometimes qualify for work permits if they meet a certain number of "points" according to a country's immigration department. You get points for things like knowing English well, having a college degree, et cetera

Igor,
Thanks so much for the reply. I do have a bachelor's degree and suppose I want to do a master's, must I write some English language tests. I studied in English medium schools, so would tests like toefl be necesary? I am here talking of Finland only. I will google it, but it would help if you could also give me some advice.
Thanks,
Beeth
