The surveillance and blacklisting of thousands of workers, including some suspected by construction companies of being left-wing troublemakers, should be immediately investigated by the privacy watchdog, it was urged last night.
I assumed it was going on but fuck capitalists and their reactionary ways.

More than 40 major firms referred to the secret database, which listed thousands of people's details, including their involvement in union activity, before hiring staff. Workers who were on the list allege they were deprived of their livelihoods as a result of their inclusion, with supporters claiming their human rights have been breached.
The database was seized three years ago and Ian Kerr, who had operated it, was fined £5,000. Invoices were discovered showing that 44 companies had paid to see the names on the list. And they say class struggle doesn't exist. It's the bourgeois class waging war on the working class. It's their class actively seeking and profiting from the desperation of workers.
I think it is obvious that the capitalist class is afraid of a militant and thoughtful working class. The saddest part is that so many members of the working class, especially in the United States, will side with their overlords. The culture has labelled thoughtful and militant working class men as bad; to be despised. They are "unpatriotic".
Class war now.

To be honest I am not surprised, the UK is the epitome of the oxymoron that is 'Liberal Democracy' which should really be termed the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie.
