murder is such a strong word

how about... "pressure tactics to encourage democratic change across the world"?

they can't stand freedom... and either you stand with us or against us... forwards, not backwards... upwards, not forwards... and forever whirling, whirling, whirling towards the future... sleep... sleep... sleep... sleep...

sorry about that :P

goodnight,
ladies,
gentlemen,
none of the above.

Lets talk about how the Iraqi army slaughtered Kuwaiti civilians and POWs. And this was not only the US, France, Britain, UK, US, UAE, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and a few more I cant think of. All together around 700,000 troops.

Those sanctions were enforced by your precious UN. The sanctions were not the cause, All Saddam had to do was trade oil for food., But the food he got he sold it to other nations for money so he could build his big palaces. If the UN decided to not impose sanctions he could have rebuilt his army, which was an impressive one before the Iran-Iraq war.

Tony how can you say that? I just had someone else slam me hard for quoting M Moore on another forum.

He in the #1 finger pointer of corupt corporations! I'm surprised he (like Gore Vidal) isnt living on a mountain top somewhere in Italy to protect himself from being whacked by the good ol'boy network!

In the book "Perpectual War for Perpectual Peace" by Vidal, there is a chronological list from the beginning of this country;'s history up until 9-11. Dammit, my ex husband has my copy and wont give it back! Tony, if you dont think M Moore is credible, get your hands on a copy of this book. I think you will actually enjoy Vidals style.

You do realize that the U.S. was worried that Saddam would install a puppet regime that would "make everyone [in the region] happy"? Unless Colin Powell was lying. Good job, the U.S. helped restore the monarchy of Kuwait, wonderful job.
