I can't find a dreams thread, so, if you feel like you've got some interesting bullshit that you'd like to share with strangers on the internet, post here.

My dreams are always too abstract to recreate.

Once had a dream of being able to fly and having the keen eyesight of a bird. It was in 3D and in color.

Once had a dream of falling from a tall tree and seeing the ground rushing towards me. Good thing I woke up.

Once had a nightmare where a distant volcano produced a black cloud that hovered for a few seconds then rushed towards me and enveloped me in darkness and terror.

Another nightmare where I saw two monsters, which turned out to be my legs that were drawn up while I was sleeping on my back.

I often have dreams where I am at a different time in my past and am facing problems that worry me. I dream about events in my life that never happened.

I just dreamt that I had brain cancer and was dying. Pretty shitty. It's 0622 here and I'm wide awake. I woke up at about 0400. Oh, and once I experienced sleep paralysis. That sucked ass.

The other day I had a dream I was a very overweight black child trying to play for the Oakland A's. I had an amazing afro, that's all I remember.

You know what I mean. If I had six month to live, and was capable of moving, walking, physical activity. I'd most definitely make a shitstorm out of it. Since at that point It's a lose-lose situation.

I have weird dreams all night, every night. A couple of things I remember from last night's dreams:
- I threw a party and loads of people turned up, mostly people from school who I wasn't really friends with. They kept asking me who I was and what i was doing there, and I was like, "I live here. This is my party," and they all just went off into another room and I was left on my own with my boyfriend.
- I took some acid, but instead of being in tabs it was in a giant jigsaw puzzle, so I was gnawing on these tough cardboard jigsaw pieces trying to get high.
- My boyfriend pointed out that our house actually has a pool in it, but we were both really drunk and high so I said that swimming was a bad idea, but he made us jump in anyway and we almost drowned. The dream kind of skipped from us both sinking under the water trying desperately to get to the surface to us both lying on the floor with someone telling us that we almost died.

I have this recurring dream quite often, 2-3 times a month.

It starts when i'm in a military holdout somewhere in the woods, in stantard combat gear, ready to be sent to the battlefield.

I talk with the other soldiers like i've known them for months. While we're talking, it comes clear that the war has been going on for months, but without any objectives been accomplished.

Then over the loudspeakers, my unit gets sent to defend the base from enemy tank attack. Me and my buddy (who is same in every dream, but i've never seen him in real life) go grab a TOW missile launcher, and carry it outside.

We set it up about a kilometer from the base, and our unit digs in around us.
Then enemy fighters bomb our area, wounding some of my comrades.

Couple minutes after that, we make contact with enemy ground troops (German marked Leopard II tanks + infantry).

Me and my buddy start taking out tanks with our TOW, and manage to take out 4-8 tanks. After that, we have to retreat, and while retreating, i get injured, and die.

/end of dream

I've never been deployed, or been in the army. I have no idea, where this came from. I've seen it for couple of years now.

I had a dream I went to japan to visit my friend and while i was sleeping the jetlag off my roommate who owes me a shit ton of money woke me up helped me up and then I start to smother him to death against my will.

I had a really shitty dream once that I was witness to genocidal atrocities, it went like this:
I was going from my house to the job centre and in order to avoid rail fare I had chosen to walk. It was during this walk that I established there was a safe place near the train station I could go and hang out at, so I decided to go there in the middle of the night. When I got there it turned out to be home to a large group of gypsies who, while acting with suspicion toward me, allowed me to stay a while. After a few (subjective dream) hours with them a bunch of people with masks occluding their facial features approached the camp and began firing on the population. For my part I attempted to escape and watched many people gunned down while I was utterly helpless. On many occasions I attempted to shout at the gunmen to stop or at least intercede (however futilely) in the violence but my (dream) limbs would not react. I actually, as ludicrous as it now seems, cursed myself for my cowardice when I woke up and was considering the dream.

The most unusual aspect of that dream is that I was myself (usually in dreams there is a character or concept that is "me" in this case the "me" in the dream was very close to me in terms of physiological/psychological make up).

After a while they came to a large tree and threw me off, and I proceeded to fall down the entire length of the giant tree while bird-like mattresses attacked me. When I got to the bottom, I was told by a smaller tree to climb to the top. I remember there being different levels to this tree, but the details escape me. Once I reached the top I was told to jump down and when I hit the bottom I woke up.

Obviously your dream is a metaphor for the privatization of the former USSR putting many citizens into poverty. Being told to jump back down once you reach the top refers to the cyclical nature of the crises of capitalism.

I had a dream I was about to get it on with my former high school Biology teacher, who was quite attractive. I was in her house and about to leave but she kept spilling stuff on purpose and asking me to clean. Then I said "You're trying to seduce me, aren't you?" and climbed on top of her. But just as we were removing our pants, I suddenly remembered my girlfriend, and I felt incredibly guilty for kissing another woman. Then I told my biology teacher this was all wrong, and I just left, feeling really shitty about myself.

So I guess that makes me a good guy?

Kind of nonsensical one.
I was going back to high school for some reason and I thought I needed to bring a trumpet (I don't know how to play trumpet) or a viola, but I decided to bring my bass bow instead. I started freaking out because I'd only been to my French class once, but then I realized it didn't matter now because that was first semester and it was second semester, and besides, there were several feet of snow on the ground so I wasn't getting in to school at all.

I went back to bed, until my mom woke me up because we had to go hunt down some barber, but I had to be extra careful because suddenly I was some bizarre Christian parody of Star Wars. I was Luke Skywalker (well, that wasn't my exact name...) and Darth Vader was storming around the hallways downstairs. My father sat in the TV room explaining to my sister how pantheism was bad because it meant she wanted to go up to heaven and be God. My mother and I drove off to find the barber, but it turned out he had just died of old age. We went to Goodwill but all the clothes had moved themselves outside and were joined by clothes from other thrift stores that I'd never heard of.

oddly enough last night i had a dream that my mother expressed all the blame for the downfall of the British economy on the poor people who claim benefits, i remember going mad at her and saying 'why is it ok to slate and shame the poor for every little thing they do wrong, yet you can do what the fuck you like and get it all wrong as a wealthy person and everyone sees you as a hero? tis was an 'angry dream'.lol

The other night I dreamt that theredson showed up at the library where I volunteer and kept talking to me about stupid shit when I wanted him to leave me the fuck alone so I could work... :/

Last night's dream was awesome, not shitty. (The shitty part was waking up.) I wrote some revolutionary symphony that made everyone who ever heard it weep. At the end, it contained the melody of The Internationale (well, in reality, the melody was not actually from that, but in the dream world it was). Peggy Hill was playing it on piano for some reason. After I convinced a bunch of symphony-goers to become communist, I decided to reach out to young teenagers by writing and performing a shitty pop-rock song about revolution, but my singing sounded like Avril Lavigne and I was pissed off about it.
