im surprised they didnt try to stop at least one of the kids or even call the cops.
"working class kids" though? you dont know anything about the kids except they robbed the fuck outta that store. $30,000? thats a heist. i wouldnt be surprised if some of them catch some trouble.

Well that's neat. Hopefully no one gets hurt over this kind of thing.

o well this is ok I guess

I don't like this.
I feel like if this went down at a local chapters they might like, hire an actual security guard or something. And that would be rubbish. A lot more volume can probably be taken if thefts are spaced out.

I think she said $3000, but still. Unless I misheard.

Anyway, that's really cool, but I kind of wish they had stole something other than designer jeans. I don't really understand the point of them (personal preference though, I guess).

What Ageism the Young Turks display... but seriously, a store owner is gonna pull a gun on teenage thieves? Highly unlikely. There are consequences for stealing in capitalist society but the consequences for killing is quite a bit higher.

There's been other cases of this, and it's supposed to be popular with inner-city youth. Youre right though, I don't know if the kids in this specific video are necessarily working class.

open revolt not clandestine action The Bonnot Gang was cool until they got shot up and everyone hated anarchists.
Sometimes this stuff backfires. I'm not really against this, but it's worth keeping in mind what might happen.

not necessarily, before the LA riots, Latasha Harlins was shot and killed by a store owner for allegedly stealing. The store owner was sentenced to five years of probation, four hundred hours of community service, and a $500 fine.

In most "normal" circumstances, yes. I certainly do not know any store clerks who are allowed to have a gun in the store and are told,"hey, shoot those people if they try and steal."

Depends on the store. Big time clothing stores are probably harmless enough. But small businesses that deal with electronics or jewelry are most definitely armed, and will hurt you.
