fairly straightforward. vote, and discuss your answer if you are so inclined.

i think these problems are interrelated. environmental destruction and discrimination are obviously exacerbated by capitalism, while the state as it exists at present is a means through which capitalism is imposed and used to exploit, plundering and dividing the working class. so i don't think it's sufficient to chalk it up to one big problem, but i do think the best shot we have at resolving these problems is the end of capitalism, creating a world where it isn't profitable to abuse the planet and waste resources, subjugate large sections of humanity through various institutions, etc.

I would also add nazi and racial fascism as an option, everyone would agree about that.

Outside Greece, fascist groups are really not that relevant.

I put ambivalence amongst the oppressed because every other option can be overcome through the organized activity of the masses, activity which is incompatible with ambivalence.

I voted capitalism/ bourgeoise, it really seems as simple as cutting the head off the snake: get rid of that and the rest will just wither away.

Russia has a worrying scene of neonazism.

Also, I agree with tumbleweed, a lot of the problems are interrelated.

And a lot of them either stem from capitalism either are magnified by it.

I just want to second the gist of tumbleweed's comments. The capitalist system is the root problem and either directly produces or greatly exacerbates secondary phenomena such as the bourgeoisie, a government/state that is the executive committee for The System, institutionalized religion, ambivalence among the oppressed, ennvironmental destruction, and the many discriminations and social splits.

I find that too many comrades ignore capitalism as The System whose values and institutions now envelop all forms of life on Earth. Capitalism functions as a cancer of living systems, and with its global metastasis, capitalism now provides humanity with a universal but deadly ecosystem within which we think as well as labor.

So I simply vote for capitalism as the grave threat facing humanity and the rest of life. Capitalism is the enemy of all life forms.

As others have said, I voted capitalism because it is an umbrella for all these other issues and dangers that we face (that are only dangers because of capitalism anyway)

Edit: should have put overpopulation for paul cockshott lol

I voted for capitalism because it's the root cause but as long as we're listing the most dangerous aspects of capitalism, shouldn't imperialist war be listed?

Environmental destruction has to be the most terrifying on the list because we don't know if it will be reversible, when we finally wake to the reality.
I don't think it's Capitalism or the Bourgeoisie that are even the root of the problem (the workers also want bigger cars, newer ipads and two foreign holidays a year). The problem is we're still greedy, territorial primates that never know when enough is enough.
Maybe environmental catastrophe is the only true answer to our greed, and might open the door to the next stage in our evolution. It's a pity we'll have to say goodbye to bio-diversity to get there.

I voted for the first option, as all of the others ultimately stem from the capitalist mode of production.

How dangerous would the bourgeoisie be without guns, welfare to pacify the workers, and propaganda? Exactly, the state is most dangerous.

Well, if the state apparatus wasn't supporting their interest, then they wouldn't be bourgeois. Since the state is but a tool, that they use in maintaining the structures which make them the dominating class.

well... since the world would be better without capitalism....
but capitalism can not be better without the world...

and since capitalism is directly responsible for a lot of : 1/ dodgy/ unhelpful government

2/ corrupted/hypocritically controlling religon 3/ambivalence

4/ environmental damage. and 4/descrimination.....

it seems that... to even have a chance of improving our lives, we need to reject it .... a.s.a.p.

it is quite clear.... crystal .. in fact... we are all fools for allowing our world to be hijacked by a

few unpleasant little men with nothing but greed and self-interest on their minds, who are incapable of anything but very short-sighted, selfish and wholly unimaginative thinking.

It's an intriguing poll. I think the working class has shown that it is able to defeat the bourgeoisie and that a united workers movement can strike directly at the moment of production where they are most vulnerable. Some of our most inspiring victories are when we brought the capitalist machine to its knees.

But state repression has yet to be decisively overcome by the left - from the Soviet Union to the COINTELPRO, we have struggled to find a viable and effective strategy against this contemporary leviathan. Moreover, the bourgeoisie rule from Saudi Arabia to Seattle to Sweden. But it is the different states, not the capitalist class, in between that make the difference between callously executing Troy Davis and giving scum like Breivik a private room with internet access. The left has not found a good way to fight the state yet, and for that reason they are in a sense our most worthy adversary.

The most dangerous aspect is definitely the apathy of the masses, who let themselves be screwed and abused by Capitalism without fighting back (most don't even care). I think it's the #1 obstacle to an eventual revolution.
