India needs a revolution

In a country where the wealthy are such a conspicuous minority. I can only assume it must be the inevitable plight of the poor to educate and advertise in uniting the left. That's a tragedy we should all be aware of. ,,,,especially with the notorious corruption in their supposedly liberal governent.

I am from India and I dont think there can be any immediate revolution in India.

The main reasons are the diverse Indian culture, the casteism and the hindu fundamentalism.

It is almost impossible to educate the masses who are ready to die for their caste or religion but who dont care to think about the common good of the society.

The naxalites started an armed revolution against the fuedal system and it failed terribly due to the lack of support from the people.

Naxalite movement became like a terroirst movement. I agree they dont kill civilians but they blast police stations, telephone exchanges which is wasting public property for no reason. They lost respect for these kind of actions. Though the movement had a good start, there is no hope now and I dont know why they still want to risk their life and continue the struggle.

The BJP and Congress show the failure of USSR as a failure of Communism.

The ruling Communists who rule 3 states in India didnt really achieve much.

The tactical alliances of the communist parties with other parties made the communists loose support in the people.


A revolution might not be possible in a strong bourgeois democratic country like India. The best way to come to power is all the communist parties unite with the CPIM and try to get elected in a democratic way.

In the way people of color work, I'd say Indians are doing the best. They've spread around the globe, and managed to get valuable trades in most of the countries they've immigrated to. At the same time, they've managed to avoid quite a bit of predjudice (except in maybe the Caribbean and England), so I think in the future, if the dispersed Indians return they could work wonders for their country. But that's just me.

before educating them you should make a link between religion and socialism, e.g. the well being of the people may be in the holy book of hindu, so they will fight for there reglion which they will do till they die instead of fighting for socilism which is very unlikly

On the contrary, religions of all kinds must be ripped out by the roots! Before, during and after any uprising. Only a revolution in the name of socialism will prevail...
