The Burgundy Rose

Firstly i am glad that i have found a place where i can discuss my ideas with similarly minded, free thinking individuals and i hope that we can all work together towards our common goal; the emancipation of the poorest in our respective society from the need to sell their labour for material necessity.

However as well as this i think there is no more a crucial time for the left to rise than now. reading the posts on many threads in this site it is transparent that the leftist parties of many countries have all but jettisoned their original founding and perhaps most important principles that were cardinal for sustainable growth and the welfare of the citizenry. We see instead not a political pragmatism prevailing amongst the political elite, but rather a desire to privatise everything possible; not a need for justice, but a revelling in corruption and sleaze; not a paternal care for those less fortunate, but a disenfranchising of the brightest and best of us; not integrity, but dishonesty; not humanity, but politics.
YES!
Politics is a word that has come to connote all that is worst in us, all that is wrong with the world, all the suffering, all the heartache and all the bitter disappointment in all peoples. Wars have been noted to be politics through other means, and similarly we see politics increasingly become business through other means, and without proper regulation and a ruthless drive towards privatisation of key national services business has become oppression through other means.
POLITICS.
One almost spits the word out scarcely concealing the injustice, outrage and overbearing anger that it invokes within us. Politics is the activity of the state, which is itself enabling some fortunate and influential few to maintain their grip on power at the expense of the majority of us, and yet we are told we should participate in it, sell into it wholeheartedly, as though it were some religion, told it will serve us and liberate us.
LIES.
Only we can allow ourselves to be freed.
Only we can liberate ourselves, we the people, together, united in diversity, against our respective governments relentless anabasis towards nothing short of a modern plutocracy. indeed, we have arguably already entered into a modern plutonomy. the banks hold the western world to ransom, greece has been smashed and ruined, the birthplace of democracy and phlosophy has been vulgarly malformed into a joke as has the ideals that had started there. The flower of liberty that once bloomed so vivid and verdant, now whithers and perishes under the icy cold, metallic glint of cash and greed. We NEED a reactionary movement, not of just one party, not of just one ideology, not of just one elite, but of the people; ALL PEOPLE AS ONE.

Gentlemen,
I give you the glimmering chance of hope.
I give you the awakening of the people.
I give to you the blossoming of The Burgundy Rose...
