As I examine and analyse history to the best of my ability, I find myself stumbling upon the same issue - the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, at least in its last couple of decades, seems to have grown increasingly reactionary, struggling to survive unchanged despite rapid global social changes.
When viewed in this light, it becomes apparent not only that the Soviet Union is not a defensible model for modern Socialism, but that Marxism-Leninism in its current form is innately reactionary, and in fact holding the whole of Socialism back.
