New evidence suggests Yasser Arafat may have been murdered. Arafat's wife calls for his body to be exhumed, since apparently, an autopsy was never conducted. I'd love to hear thoughtful informed opinions on this and its implications for peace in the region.

They think he might be killed with polonium poisoning if so that would mean nuclear materials.
At the time the only country in the middle east with such materials was Israel.

Ehm no, getting your hands on enough polonium to kill someone is easy as fuck, you can basically just order it on the internet. Ofcourse the mossad is prime suspect but syrian or iranian secretservices or hammas or even a individual could have done it. Do note too that Arafats symptoms are not considered to be typical of polonium poisonisn so this might end up to be nothing/some thing different.

It would hardly be surprising if he was murdered; there were many who wanted him dead.

They weren't? My understanding from reading the article and watching the video was that they were. Do you have a source?

Well, this is one of those cases where you (or rather I should say I) have no idea who to believe. Although one of the Swiss scientists who analyzed Arafat's clothes is quoted as saying the medical reports were not consistent with polonium poisoning, some news outlets, including AL Jazeera and RT are saying that the symptoms were suggestive of polonium poisoning. These symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting and nausea. There is also the claim that due to the lack of scientific literature on the subject, the effects of polonium poisoning are not well known.
