Would anyone be interested in participating in a forum for progressives? Membership would be open to the broader left and anti-establishment. This would be a good opportunity for the revolutionary left to gage the perspectives of less radical elements, and to introduce them to more revolutionary ideas.

I think it's better just to have meeting places and sites for revolutionaries. The left-liberals who are interested in learning, and perhaps ready to or in the process of confronting class struggle will come to the revolutionaries.

I think it's a very rare occurrence when left-liberals and radicals should work in common over any political cause because the gulf between reform (immediate marginal relief) and revolution (liberation) is so wide. I also said "No" because I also think proselytizing for communism doesn't work.

No I think we're going to build up a militant workers movement, undertake mass action in a period when capital is in crisis, and once the police begin violently repressing the strikes/protests we jump into armed warfare.

Fighting in the streets right now is tantamount to drawing a line in the sand. Not an offensive move but one of self-defense. Standing one's ground will only help radicalize and unify all oppressed forces. IMO.

That is spot on comrade. Not to mention it highly radicalizes those "newbies" who may be caught up in a confrontation. Although this is not an endorsement of street battles, it obviously needs to carried out with the necessary political and economic struggles.

There's already a somewhat progressive forum here (http://www.volconvo.com/forums/content/) that is quite popular. Conservatives are allowed, though they usually get shot down by the liberals there. Then they all go apeshit when a communist starts talking.
