Well, you've admitted your problem, that's the first step on the road to recovery...
There be but a few of us Jazzual types here, Rastafari is an adherent and world renowned xylophone player, I beleive Hampton and Mr Mojo risin have also expressed a fondness for the infathomable lure of the oft mocked and misunderstood musical form...

Come on, Fidel. The only thing Nora Jones is good for is getting middle aged white people to fuck. A little list to help your getting started guevara-marley:
John Coltraine
Donald Byrd
Arturo Sandoval
Dizzie Gillespie
Miles Davis
Louis Armstrong
Billie Holiday
Belle Afleck and the Flecktones
Medeski, Martin, & Wood
Charlie Parker
There are loads of others, but I didn't want to take up one page with just one post.

As long as it isn't "smooth jazz" or "lite jazz" that is being promited a lot lately.
Here's a cool station that you can listen to on linee that has some good jazz and other programs: www.uvm.edu/wruv
As you can see it is a college station so the programming schedule will have some holes in the next few weeks due to some students/DJs being away on break. But at 6am EST in the US there is some jazz playing right now.

I don't think you know what your talking about...
I think Nora Jones is fucking awesome. Best thing ever to come out of Ravi Shankar's loins.
The others you mentioned are great, though. Why do people always forget
Pharaoh Sanders?

That's a bold statement, those old loins have produced some awesome gear... But yeah, I liked her record..
