This guys contemporary art is receiving a lot of attention in Russia. From this video, Marat sounds like an elitest douche. The real problem here is the public money being used to fund this.

I really don't like it when people put the word 'artist' in quotation marks, as if to say 'well of course s/he isn't actually an artist,' simply because they don't personally like the art produced. It would be like if I wrote '"actor" Matt Damon...' or '"philosopher" Alain Badiou...' and then I'd just look like such a tool, and for what?
