I haven't been to a doctor in years. And am just now going to see a pcp. My main problem? Reoccurring, nasty, painful boils i develop in the back of my neck. I've had them for years, I'm not even sure how long. My old dermatologist (useless) never did anything for me. I try not to make it seem like a big deal to others, but it is really debilitating awful pain for a week or more at a time, usually involving no sleep, fatigue, and general feeling of being unwell.
I am scaring myself by reading online that there is a good chance I can never be "fully" cured, and that my problem is progressive and will get worse with age. :crying:
Anyone else have such a problem? I am really hoping my dr. can help........I've tried advice from coworkers (turmeric) and trying to notice what seems to make them worse (caffeine, sugar). I am a very hygienic person, I shower often twice a day, and use anti-bacterial (medical grade stuff) soaps and what not, but they still come back!

You may only need massive amounts of penicillin. I had a friend who had that for about a year or so and the Dr. got rid of it in about two months. After that he used to rub Tea Tree Oil all over his back and arms after a good exfoilliating(sp?) shower. Keeps the skin disinfected. The boils most likely come from Yahweh's wrath though. Stupid sinner.:(

I am quite the sinner. But since that isn't going to change................. :)
Thanks for the advice about the tea tree oil. I'll look into it.

Have your doctor lace the boils and maybe get a lab test to confirm that you have a staph infection and not something else. Try omega 3 for the pain, but it won't cure it. Do you frequent the gym, work at a hospital oe deal with lots of people?

Tea tree oil is snake oil prescribed by holistics for everything from impotence to bad breath. It's so magical, why there not medicine made from it?

I used to go to a gym often. Not for a few years though. I work at a mall.

Apparently cannabis works against staph infections including CA-MRSA.

Have no problem with using it, but don't exactly have the sorts of connections needed to get any
