I first experienced sleep paralysis last night. It was terrifying.

I was awake but at the same time "dreaming". I opened my eyes to feel that I couldn't move and I saw a figure coming towards me. My mind was screaming "do something!", "react!", "fight!". Nothing, I couldn't even speak. The figure got on top of me and I felt the weight of him on my chest, his hands on my shoulders as he came face to face with me. His eyes not breaking contact with me for a second I could even feel his breath on my face. He had a demonic smile on his face and his long bony fingers dug into my arms.

At this point I was in a state of panic unlike anything I have ever experienced. (keep in mind I had no idea I was dreaming at the time) My arms couldn't move, my body couldn't move, I couldn't even scream. In my head I was felt like I was going to explode. Then he started to speak, and when he started speaking I knew I must've been dreaming because the shit he was saying made no sense. Something about "The Catholic church will rule all of Ireland!" I was like "wtf?". Once I realized I was dreaming and calmed down the figure disappeared and I was able to move again. It was pretty scary until he started talking about stuff that made no sense. Then I was like: "oooh, I'm definitely dreaming this horseshit."

Yeah, the first few minutes were absolute terror though.

I never heard this until now. Why? It's from drug use?

Certain factors make you more likely to get sleep paralysis:

sleep deprivation – sleep paralysis is more common in people who do not get enough sleep

irregular sleeping patterns – people with irregular schedules or who do shift work are more prone to sleep paralysis

age – it is more common in teenagers and young adults

narcolepsy – some people who have narcolepsy, a sleep disorder, also
experience sleep paralysis

genetic link – sleep paralysis may have a family link, although this theory needs more research

No. I experienced it as a kid, before I even tried drugs (liquor, bud).

Do you sleep on your side? It happens to me when I sleep on my side.

I first experienced sleep paralysis last night too. It was terrifying.

I was awake but at the same time "dreaming". I opened my eyes to feel that I couldn't move and I saw a figure coming towards me. My mind was screaming "do something!", "react!", "fight!". Nothing, I couldn't even speak. The figure got on top of me and I felt the weight of her on my groin, her hands on my penis as she came face to face with me. Her eyes not breaking contact with me for a second I could even feel her breath on my face. She had a cute smile on her face and her long soft fingers massaged my shaft.

At this point I was in a state of pleasure unlike anything I have ever experienced. (keep in mind I had no idea I was dreaming at the time) My arms couldn't move, my body couldn't move, I couldn't even scream. In my head I was felt like I was going to come. Then she started to speak, and when she started speaking I knew I must've been dreaming because the shit she was saying made no sense. Something about "Rim me please" I was like "wtf?". Once I realized I was dreaming and calmed down the figure disappeared and I was able to move again. It was pretty scary until she started talking about stuff that made no sense. Then I was like: "oooh, I'm definitely dreaming this horseshit."

There has to be a way to prevent this. I never want this happening to me.
