annual meeting of ILO welcomed the members of Irans Islamic Labor Councils who are actually gangsters and thugs who attack worker syndicates in Iran as "workers representatives". they are not elected by workers. Moreover, this meeting with the fake representative is taking place while labor activists in Iran are being prosecuted and many of them are in prison in the worst possible conditions.
many true worker activists such as ali nejati from sugar workers syndicate and reza shahabi from bus drivers syndicate (who are both prisoners in Iran) wrote letters to ILO in order to inform ILO about the identity of those fake representatives, but they received no answer. although the government of Iran has accepted 87 and 98 conventions of ILO (which are about workers rights to form their organizations) but many worker activists are in prison because they tried to organize. many foreign organization such as CGT from France also protested against the decision of ILO but protests were ineffective.
if there are comrades in here who are active in worker organizations which participated in annual meeting of ILO in Geneva, i ask them to question their representative about this.
