Greek anarchists attack techno-industrial complex. At least they have their priorities straight. (If not a false flag, but I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist).

An unknown radical anarchist group has claimed responsibility for an arson attack against the Microsoft main offices in Athens using a mini-van packed with incendiaries.

The group calling itself "Variant Behaviour for the Proliferation of Revolutionary Terrorism" said it had used 150 litres of petrol in the pre-dawn attack on Wednesday that gutted the ground floor of the building.

"The Microsoft building was chosen because it is one of the most powerful companies in the computer sector," the group said in an online tract posted on the left-wing website, indymedia.org.

"Any company that is part of the techno-industrial complex is a target for us.... Anarchy is a way of life for us," the outfit said.

Two or three masked men immobilised two security guards around 3.45am, then rammed the stolen mini-van through the entrance, and set fire to the van, which was packed with gas canisters, police said.

The fire and explosion damaged the entrance and ground floor of the building, the Greece corporate headquarters of the US technology giant, located in the northern Athens suburb of Maroussi.

"We are grateful that there were no injuries and our staff are safe," the company said in a statement, noting that the assailants had forced the security guards out of the building before setting the mini-van on fire.

Attacks against targets such as diplomatic missions, state offices, companies and banks, which usually do not cause casualties, are frequent in Greece and blamed by police on extremist and anarchist groups.

In April, a previously unknown group called Revolutionary Action claimed responsibility for an attack with an incendiary device that badly damaged an annex of the Greek ministry of administration in Athens.

Nice. Still not as good as the Indonesian "God Is Dead Insurrectionary Front", though.

Yeah I'm not sure if they understand that everyone pirates software.

I don't know this name sounds fancy, kind of like a published paper.

The Antarysa coalition or grouping stands for "Anti-capitalist Left Cooperation for the Overthrow". The name itself means "mutiny" in Greek, so I guess the acronym works.
