the station clearly has a right-wing bias its viewers are right-wing. All in all it is just the mainstream media showing the boring 30 minutes that surround sound bites. But i watch it occasionally because there are no alternatives.

to be honest booktv sometimes has some pretty cool authors on interesting subjects.

I never realized there was bias present. I always saw them as just presenting what's going on in politics with a very dry "just the facts" kind of thing going on.

C-SPAN = watching paint dry. I rather kill some braincells doing something more interesting.

C-SPAN isn't bias. It's a bunch of congressmen/senators putting on a show, getting upset, voting, and hosting fundraisers etc. I watch it because I like to stay informed. I find it quite amusing.

C-Span 2 has talks on American history many weekday nights (not sure of the schedule), Sometimes, but not always, its interesting. Several days ago they had a presentation on Eugene Debs which was quite interesting.

As for C-Span 'gavel to gavel coverage" its kinda like watching paint dry, unless one is a very hardcore (bourgoise) political junky and loves to follow which bill is in which committee.

I caught some C-Span program a couple years ago when Naomi Klein was a guest, was kinda cool. Other than that never.

late night, coming home drunk, fumbling with the remote trying to find something to put on TV to fall asleep to, passing out with the remote in my hand....I wake up and C-SPAN is on.

Someone falls asleep to C-SPAN, it has the same effect as those "learn spanish while you sleep" tapes, he wakes up and everything is dull and boring. Turns out it's contagious and within a year the whole town has a menial drone-like demeanor. The military is called in (all these boring people are obviously a threat to national security), and a bloody battle ensues...

Well when I say c-span, I mean washington journal and public events.I sometimes watch when the house is in session especially if a right-wing nut is giving a speech. I have noticed that the events they broadcast are from right-wing think tanks(heritage foundation and american enterprise institute)

here is a link to a study/survey by the Center for economic and policy research, revealing "C-SPAN Favors Conservative Think Tanks 3-to-1 Over Left-of-Center"

most of the callers are also right-wing and so are the guest.

I don't watch TV.. I don't even own a TV.

I feel morally superior after saying that.
