Makes me wonder that the entire idea of Chess is based on (or off from) Imperialism which has been miniaturized into a simple board game. At least I got a idea of the game's origins...

No, that assumes that each "player" has an equal amount of "pieces" at it's disposal. Also, that rules are followed.

Maybe what's meant is inter imperialist war, and the board itself is to represent the territories or colonies fought over...

Okay, lets get this thread going somewhere real or its getting closed cause right now it looks pretty useless to me.

Who said to you that Imperialism is like a game of chess?

No one did, I thought I realized by how Imperialism works which reminded me of Chess...well especially Inter-Imperialist Conflicts aka the "Cold War" between USian and Russian imperialism for example.

That's where I got the visual analogy from.

Imperialism is a game of overpowering forces and violent cultural change and genocide for resources..... the game of imperilism is certaintly not even as chess and certainly not as bloody or horrific.

As someone else said, chess predates Imperialism. It just represents war, but Imperialism is way more than just war. If you are looking for a board game that somehow is a model of Imperialism, first play Monopoly, and then Risk.

I also would not say that the Cold War was an "Inter-Imperialist war". However, that is a debate that belongs somewhere else and probably should not be opened here.
