View Full Version : Why is the UN Spreading HIV Throughout Africa?

Maybe its so the EUnich Socialists can fullfill Marx/Engels dream of doing away with all the "useless eaters".
Did medical care spread HIV?
Children and injections: Many studies report young children infected with HIV with mothers who are not infected. One study in Kinshasa kept track of the injections given to infants under two. In one study, nearly 40% of HIV+ infants had mothers who tested negative. These children averaged 44 injections in their lifetimes compared with only 23 for uninfected children.
Good access to medical care: Countries like Zimbabwe, with the best access to medical care, have the highest rates of HIV transmission. "High rates [of HIV] in South Africa have paralleled aggressive efforts to deliver health care to rural populations".
Riskier to be rich: Most STDs are associated with being poor and uneducated. HIV in Africa is associated with urban living, having a good education, and having a higher income. In one hospital in 1984, the rate of HIV in the senior administrators was 9.2%, compared with the average employee rate of 6.4%.

"People often see what they wish to see"
The authors suggest several reasons why evidence has been ignored until now, including the West's preconceptions about African sexuality, the fear that people might lose trust in healthcare, and simple disbelief that medical practices could be so unsafe.
They conclude: "a growing body of evidence points to unsafe injections and other medical exposures to contaminated blood" as an explanation for the majority of the spread of the epidemic. "This finding has major ramifications for current and future HIV control programmes in Africa" .

That stupid EUnich Socialist programs are actualy causing the AIDS problem in Africa.
That neo-communist globophobes who fear GM foods are the main culprits since there is no better way to surpress the immune system than poor nutrition.
Have a GREAAT Day!!! :)

What is so socialist about the EU? What are these neo-communist countries?
I am going to work in Angola with people who have been infected with HIV/AIDS and let me tell you, it isnt the nutrition that is causing the problems it's lack of education. People need to learn what the disease and virus is and how they can prevent it.
As for GM food, it has yet not been proven that it does not cause damage to the human body, and in some cases scientists have recommended against using GM food because of risk of catching cancer. Just because people are starving, does not mean that they should be given food that could give them long and painful deaths.

False...GM foods have been widely consumed in the United States for over 20 years (in various contemporary clinical variations)...during that time our life expectancy has increased 6%, and that's after having imported 40 million poverty stricken immigrants from third world countries (many of whom arrived with all kinds of medical problems from their home countries)...go figure...maybe it's that failed health care system of ours that's responsible...you decide...
Zimbabwe is free to protect its industry unless of course doing so leads to wholesale starvation. Of course as lazy lying leftist automatons the last thing they want to see is actual human beings doing well...might seriously gum up your precious UN AIDS induced depopulation of the "dark useless eaters" (as the great Marx/Engels refererred to them)...
Did you know that the EU and its member states devote four times more money to "family planning" in Africa than they do to routine medical supplies? This kinda shoots your whole "the dumb negros need to be edgumacated" argument right in the ass. They need food.
Did you know that in Africa a woman seeking low cost seizure medicine for her child at a UN clinic is told there are no resources...even as she sits next to a supply closet loaded floor to ceiling with self-administered abortion suction devices, IUD's condoms and oral contraceptives?
Why do you think the WHO actually INSTRUCTED clinicians in Africa to reuse their needles 200 times?
Why does the average African child get 40 injections by the age of three whereas the average child in the west only gets about 5?
You would have learned about the WHO's clinical diagnosis for AIDS in Africa known as the "Bangui" definition. Do you know what constitutes "AIDS" in Africa?
cough
fever
diarrhoea
weigth loss
Do I really need to explain to you how idiotic that is? Remember...we're talking about Africa...where the leading cause of immunosuppression is....malnutrition!
So in Africa...a villager who is laced with indigenous parasites, malnuroushied from poverty shows up at a stupid UNAIDS/WHO clinic with a cough, a fever a little diarrhoea and some weight loss and poof: they have AIDS!
Do you know what one of the most effective ways to crash white counts is?
Take AZT!
A failed cancer chemo drug that was rejected 30 years ago because of its severe impact on the immune system....

What has any of this got to do with people who come to this board? Because you are making it sound as if we all support the UN. I can assure you that vast majority do not.
You have raised some interesting points about the state of health in africa. When i talk about education I am talking about trying to convince people to actually use the condoms. I suspect you have never been to africa, well most of the people there do not talk about sex. It is a social no no...I was once talking to a guy from Mozambique and we were talking about the moon and the sun and he said to me "the moon is taken out of a box every night and put in the sky, while the sun is put away in a box."
Most people in sub-saharan africa are taught by village doctors that sleeping with a virgin with cure them of aids. They recieve treatments from their village doctor which include chanting and being hit with a magic feather type object.
people who do have aids are isolate from the rest of their families. I met one family who told me that their niece had caught HIV and that they had locked her in an outhouse to be safe and they brought her food everyday. This is the situation in africa, these are the mentalities we have to break if we are going to slow the spread of this virus down.

Because most of you are leftists, therefore your priorities are elitist. You feel your birth control education is what is needed when in fact the data is proving you wrong. They need food! They dont need rich ohhh so smart white people telling them how to behave.

Thank you, if you read the data you will see people are actualy using condoms. Not everyone, but those who are, are still getting aids.

Interesting, however the data shows AIDS is mainly increasing among the educated and well to do. Here...

See, thats exactly what Im talking about with the whole elitist attitude exhibited by the political left. You think they need their "attitudes" changed. I think they need to be fed and for the WHO to stop spreading AIDS through their own incompetance.

This is a generalization founded in no fact. I am working with an NGO and our priorities are not simply birth control. Of course it is included but it is not paramount to our work.
They need food! They dont need rich ohhh so smart white people telling them how to behave.
You can not give out food to people. What is that going to achieve in the long run? People in africa need to work towards sustainable development. They need help to grow their own food in order for them to survive by themselves.
The people I work with do not have this "im smart" attitude. They have skills which can be passed onto african people. People in africa are not motivated the same as people in the west. They do not have the same organization skills or ability to take the initiative. Centuries of colonialization put an end to that..People like me and my comrades have this kind of perspective, which we can use to help people in africa develop for themselves.
if you read the data you will see people are actualy using condoms.
I do not know what data you are refering too, but from first hand experience I can tell you it is not the case. Especially in rural areas where the problem is gaining momentum. A common attitude in africa is that condoms brought aids to africa. People use the logic, "well when aids started condoms began to appear." Africans believe they have worms in them that stop you having babies and refuse to use them. In Botswana we have TCE staff on call all night for local people to come and get condoms, and people do come. People are beginning to see the benifits of condoms. The work we do is to try and spread this to rural areas where the subject of sex is never discussed and the idea of condoms is simply none existant.

In one hospital in 1984, the rate of HIV in the senior administrators was 9.2%, compared with the average employee rate of 6.4%
Again this is completely not true. 70% of the population of Mozambique are under the poverty line ($1 per day) 18% of those people are infected with HIV. This means 95% of all HIV victims are below the poverty line.
This article proves nothing in reality. I advise you to go to africa and see for yourself.
See, thats exactly what Im talking about with the whole elitist attitude exhibited by the political left. You think they need their "attitudes" changed.
Of course there does! People do not see HIV/AIDS as something that needs to be fought. They simply cover it up. hide it under the carpet and hope it dosnt come to them. But unfortunatly it does. In Botswana 1 in every 3 people are infected with HIV. By 2020, if it is not stopped there, will be no Botswana. Friends of mine who are working on projects there are loosing friends every other day due to HIV/AIDS. Fortunatly the government there is taking action to stop it. More funding is becoming available and there are more people out on the streets trying to get people to accept HIV as a real thing and to get help dealing with it.
And do you honestly believe locking your niece in an outhouse is the right attitude to have in fighting AIDS?
I think they need to be fed and for the WHO to stop spreading AIDS through their own incompetance.
Food secutiry is a big issue and one the NGO I work for is dealing with. However, what can food security alone achieve. First of all you can not give hand outs. If you do this all you will have is a continent of dependent people. People in africa need to start depending on themselves and creating sustainable development that lasts otherwise they will always need hand outs. Secondly, nutrition will not stop the spread of AIDS or HIV, education will. When people start to take an active responsability for this epademic the spread of AIDS and HIV will stop.
Maybe you should go to africa and see first hand exactly what the problems are there. Then maybe you will think differently.

All that I understand from your posts Romulus is that you think the AIDS/HIV problem is caused by lack of food, too many injections. You say that the 'leftist' solution is to change attitudes and that this is not working.
I would suggest that this is little to do with leftists. Leftists are not against GM foods necessarily or creating an African economy that can meet these food requirements, or that leftists woukld advocate injections that are giving people HIV. The Anarchist Tension is right in saying you have some good points, but there are amongst incoherent ramblings, I don't see how The Anarchist Tension can argue with you, I certainly can't work out what you are trying to say.
I think we can all agree that AIDS/HIV is a problem and that the solutions are higher living standards and education. To produce this there must be economic and political stability. There needs to be well thought out aid programmes and economic restructuring and social policies in Africa.

I don't think you know what a leftist is and is confusing the actions of the centre, liberal, or right with that of the left. Just stop going around pointing fingures when you have no clue what you are talking about. Saying "EUnich" is nonsense and makes very little sense. I don't know enough about the situation in Africa to say anything worth saying, but I do know that you don't seem to know what a leftist is, and this statement proves it:
Because most of you are leftists, therefore your priorities are elitist.

EU = European Union + nich = EUnich. Not that hard.
On the political scale of left and right doesn't socialism and communism belong on the left?
How can the left be considered "elitist"?
Well for example...look at the Socialist Democrats of America. http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html

initially, i thought, i have no opinion on this topic. i have no facts to back up anything i say so i'll just read and go on with my life.
but then i realized,
Romulus is a prejudice dick.
NEWS FLASH : NOT ALL LEFTISTS ARE THE SAME ROMULUS !!!
it seems to me that Romulus just likes to blame the lefties.
personally, i dont think the africans (or negros as romulus says) are "dark useless eaters" and i sure dont think they should be killed.
it seems to me that you have studied the facts, discovered a problem (be it true or fake, i dont know) and then decided to blame the leftists. that is irrational, prejudice and it angers me.

my understanding of AIDS in africa has to do with their "style" of sex
females are supposed to dry their vaginas so as to increase the friction in the process of copulation
the dryness, in turn, increases the risk for some reason or another
don't ask me how, or how the dry effect is achieved, or how a dry vagina is more pleasurable for ANYONE, as I hear this results in the tearing of the vaginal cavity. why this wouldn't have the same result on a penis is unknown
anyway, all this other nonsense about UN and shit is rather lame
