I love Glenn Beck. I think his fear mongering is hilarious. Listening to him speak on these things makes me think that the revolution is here.

Anyways, typical right-wing fear mongering. It is funny to me.

Wow, what a great comparison! "Hezbollah of the Hippies"! Comparing a formal political organization with people who wear black clothing!

A couple minutes into it and it sounds like some good advertising. They are hardcore motherfuckers, they will scare your grandma, rage in the face, etc, etc. Where do I sign up?

Ha, ha. Yeah I know. Sometimes Beck is the best advertisement for radicals - no one in the US knew about "the coming Insurrection" in the US until he started "warning us".

Lou Dobbs also had a bit of this. I remember seeing his show when it was back on and he had this rant about the Left: "They want to open the borders, stop the police from stopping immigrants! They're destroying our country by fighting to protect union entitlements! They're harming our education system by protesting against tuition increases that schools need!" Then he did some other story about something followed by a commercial break. When he came back after the ads, he began, "Our next story is about a troubling trend of immigrants and young people and unionists increasingly turning to leftism".

Ahh, it's like the old-right: "These radicals just smoke lots of pot and have great sex all the time.... hey why is everyone becoming a radical!"

And it's hella funny how he's describing them as the real deal. Like those other protesters are weak sauce fakes, but the anarchist black blocers are the realest! Could he please go back to talking about communists, calling us the realest, the vanguard that is making things go forward! Then someone might believe it and jump on the bandwagon lol.

These clowns are sensational. A show like Portlandia would be exactly like this they couldn't even use this material cause it would get watered down in the process.

Guys, what if Glenn Beck is secretly one of us and is using his seemingly wacky right-wing conservative soapbox to spread radical awareness on account of he thinks most people will realize that his character is batshit and look at what he's saying...
I dunno. Just a thought.

Yeah like the same way the Chinese state is saying that free market capitalism is the way to communism. Perhaps once they have all the money in the world they'll abolish it. You never know it could happen

Probably a lot. It's kind of dangerous to think the ilks of Genn Bleck are stupid. They're anything but, usually. What they say might seem stupid, but it's perfectly designed to both pander to their viewership and of course, promote the capitalist class interests because Glenn Beck personally benefits from that.

Damn straight! I came to the ISO partly because Comrade Beck had such glowing things to say about it.

Scumbag Beck:

Believes that the government is controlled by a small group of "evil" forces.

Hates anyone who makes a legitimate attempt to resist the government.

I honestly think that G. Beck has worn out his welcome with even the Tea Party people. He has run that ship aground and no one is coming to his rescue. Whatever Maury Povich style antics or "Hot Topics" he can muster to fight off the inevitable have now been used. Black Bloc just being the latest in a long, long string of topics that he manipulates and reconstructs as "news". How hard did this piece try and convince the viewers that a terrible menace was lurking just around the May Day corner? The fine art of Creating News is lost on ilk such as him so why take it serious any longer? Like an estranged wife that has moved on, not even Fox News Corp. will return his frantic late night calls. Waste of time. Better to let dead dogs lie.
