Halliburton May Have Overcharged Millions (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20031212/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/halliburton_probe&cid=542&ncid=716)

Auditors found potential overcharges of up to $61 million for gasoline that a Halliburton subsidiary delivered as part of its no-bid contract to help rebuild Iraq's oil industry.

Oddly enough the company that Dick Cheney worked for, the Vice President of the US. Oddly enough he still won't let anybody see who attented his "Energy" meeting.

Bush Defends Iraq Contract Limits (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=584&e=2&u=/nm/20031211/pl_nm/iraq_usa_dc)

I like how he says it goes to countries that risk lives. So like Poland that risked like 60 people...

Bush scoffed at a question seeking his reaction to Schroeder's statement on Thursday that international law must apply to the awarding of the contracts.

"International law? I better call my lawyer," he said.
and people wonder why the rest of the world is pissed at us. International Law? I better call my lawyer. So pompus of an attitude.

So nice to know that the US's new friends are going to be.
Albania, Bulgaria, Denmark, Honduras, Hungary, Kazakhstan and the Philippines.

Because nothing is better than trading in Germany and France for the stability of Honduras and Pro-democracy region of Kazakhstan.

But this is the best.
"If countries want to join in our efforts in Iraq and the efforts of the Iraqi people there, then circumstances can change, and we'll make that very clear," said McClellan, when asked repeatedly whether countries that committed to help erase Iraqi debt could qualify for U.S.-funded contracts.

John Negroponte, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said, "I would doubt there'd be any reconsideration of that policy."

Nobody trusts a pompus cowboy. Nobody trusts you when you tell them 50 different things, and they all turn out to be something different.

The rest of the world can see everyday why we really went to war, and it wasn't for terror. US companies are making millions maybe if they just told the truth? Because I even if Bush had said, "We are going into Iraq because of a bad guy that did bad things 15 years ago, so we can install a puppet government and finance american companies with tax dollars and make a lot of rich people richer." Americans still would have said okay.
