Opposing imperialism is fine and dandy. But supporting a fascist, murdering dictator is not.

*shrug* I think it's clear that Syria is just a piece in a geopolitical chess game right now. Regardless of whether the story is true or not, the gulf arab states have definitely aided the opposition in Syria. On the other hand, states like Iran and Russia have aided the Syrian government, including Iranian personnel assets reportedly on the ground in Syria. Syria's the flashpoint in a mostly cold war between rival capitalist trade blocs.
