I was wondering if anyone knew anything about him. He is the author of Marx's Labor Theory of Value: A Defense and apparently is opposed to Stalinism and "New Left" radicalism from the little I have read on him. He is also involved in Japan's socialist scene apparently.

Anything else on this guy/girl (not sure which).

I believe he's a member of the Marxists Comrade Group, which a group with the SWP in Japan. Not 100% sure though.

I'm going to guess Hiroyoshi is a man's name (and the naming convention used in the title of this thread is the Japanese one, where last names are first,...Hayashi is a family name in Japan I assume).

Other than that...nothing else to contribute.

The only Japanese Marxists dealing with the labor theory of value I have heard of are N. Okishio with his 1963 theorem reformulated by Michio Morishima in the "final theorem of Marxism": "for keeping a capitalist society, it is a necessary and sufficient condition that capitalists exploit workers" (with positive prices, real salaries, and profits.)
