there was a national doctors and medical professors strike in Tunisia , with a success rate of 95 % according to Dr.Habiba Mizouni , a union official ( don't know how to translate the word to english ) and a professor at Tunis medical university .

after the failure of negotiation with both health minister and high education minister ( plus an insult from him ) the strike was decided in 31 mai ( for 2 days )

their demand was :
*increase in public salaries : doctors can get payed minimum 3 times what they make in public universities , for this reason public hospitals can't maintain skilled doctors \ Surgeon
* increase in professors salaries : actually they are teaching for free , as they still have the same duties in hospital with no increase in salary , that's why there is a low number of candidate each year ( less than positions )
*increase in public spending and best working conditions : University hospitals complex (CHU) , is the third grade hospital , that's means it should be equipped with best available in country , recently some private clinics have better equipment than public hospital that serves 70% of the population .
*answers to serious Privatization threats : seems that the previous dictator was pushing neo liberal plans , but neglecting public service + encouraging private clinics , and creating public healthcare insurance that cover percentage of expenses you pay to privates
also appears that there was plans to allow private medical universities . only the best students can attend medical university here , now it will became only the richest can do that .

the current Islamist conservative government is attending to complete those policies , as the minister talked about that when he visited my university according to my anatomy professor
* security in hospitals : several assaults on doctors , recently an orthopedist was assaulted by 7 members of some family : severe cerebellar trauma , atlas fracture ( luckly not displaced ) + several fractures

private universities means guys like me don't have a chance , the monthly cost is more than what my father makes . seems like religious conservatives are the same here and in canada , same policies , higher education not everyone

if the government don't respond no control exams for students .
i totally Ok with that , i failed almost every subject , 1 month isn't enough , 3 month are OK
